- 5 cups fresh blueberries
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon salt
DirectionsClean and pick through blueberries. Discard any broken or bad berries.
In a medium saucepan combine the blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, and salt. Mash the fruit with potato masher, or wooden spoon until the berries release their juices.
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 18 to 25 minutes, until mixture thickens. Transfer jam to prepared jars.
Refrigerate for up to 1 month, or freeze for up to a 1 year.
