Butterscotch Haystacks

  • 1 3 oz. can chow mien noodles (2 cups)
  • 1/2 cup peanuts
  • 1/2 of a 14 oz. Can sweetened condensed milk (2/3 cup)
  • 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch pieces


Combine noodles and peanuts in large mixing bowl. Set aside; combine condensed milk, chocolate pieces and butterscotch pieces in saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly; about 5 min. or until pieces are melted. Pour chocolate mixture over noodles and peanuts. Stir until thoroughly coated. Drop by teaspoon onto a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper. Cool at room temp or chill in refrigerator till firm. Store covered in the refrigerator.
