Egg Drop Soup

A classic Chinese staple soup. Very easy to make and tasty.


  • 3 cans chicken/vegetable broth/stock
  • 1 green onion, chopped fine
  • 4 raw eggs, blended together
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch or flour
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste


Heat broth/stock with green onion and other seasonings to boiling. Mix cornstarch/flour with water in a cup; add to broth. Heat until thickened.

Remove from heat. Add raw eggs, stirring with a fork. Stir rapidly for small pieces or slowly for longer, thicker threads.
